| Summary, etc. | This report presents the major findings of the 1998 Marrickville Boarding House Survey. The focus of the Survey was on the situation on and for residents, for owner/managers and the condition of the stock. The purpose of the study was to:<br/>* provide primary data to be utilised in addressing the options/recommendations outlined in the Marrickville Council Housing Needs Study.<br/>* Report to council on local boarding house industry issues and make recommendations for action.<br/><br/>Marrickville Council's Housing Needs Study provided the impetus for this study. It has found that boarding house residents are a group with unmet housing needs and recommended that a Survey be undertaken to better understand the state of the local boarding house industry. <br/> |
